Peta Roberts FBHS

Lecturer


Peta has a Certificate of Education, and so is a trained teacher, regularly delivering lectures that were graded Ofsted Grade 1 (outstanding) standard, when assessed at Colleges.

She is an NVQ assessor and Internal Verifier, a BHS Chief Examiner, and a Side Saddle Association (SSA) examiner. She is an elite trainer for Ponies Association UK, as well as being a Chief Assessor for the National Stallion Association.

Her background in lecturing includes:-

  • lectured at Warwickshire College, to both Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) students.
  • lectured for many years at Hartpury College, dealing mainly with FE students, and delivering both practical and class room based lectures.
  • delivered talks and lectures for the Pony Club, the BHS, British Riding Clubs (BRC), and the SSA.
  • carried out lecture demonstrations on side saddle riding at the British Horse and Rider shows at Wembley and Glasgow and gave a lecture demonstration on clipping at the popular 'Your Horse Live'.
  • was invited to deliver a talk on riding side saddle at Essen Equitana in Germany in 2011, which was very well received.
  • delivered a highly successful lecture demonstration on equitation jumping for the SSA which, as well as being useful for competitors, also counted as a judges and trainers CPD (Continuing Professional Development) update.
